At Devonport Park Activity Centre we, at Routeways, deliver a range of fun, challenging activities for families, children and young people with a range of abilities specialising in Autism, ADHD and/or mental health. We offer access to a natural environment in the heart of the City with a variety of activities including horticulture, outdoor education, creative play, music, cooking and personal development. The project is supported by a range of local partners.

What We Currently Offer At Devonport Park Activity Centre:
Growing Together
For young people with a disability aged 14 - 24 offering vocational opportunities to learn and improve their skills in cooking, gardening, woodwork, computers, personal development and employability skills, social enterprise opportunities and other social activities.
When: Monday and Friday
Cost: Free for a full day and Free for half a day session (sessions are currently funded through the SEND Innovation)

14 - 24 Youth Group in Beckly and Devonport Park Activity Centre
Youth Club
For young people with a disability from 14 - 24 offering trips out, social opportunities, on-site activities (movie nights, games night, disco, recycled fashion shows, pamper sessions)
When: Every Thursday (7pm - 9pm) - (alternate weeks at the Beckly Centre and Devonport Park Activity Centre)
Cost: Free per session (sessions are currently funded through the SEND Innovation)

Rooted Club
For young people with a disability aged 8 - 14 offering opportunities to get involved in cooking, gardening, crafts and other social activities.

Mark the Park
Routeways has recently recieved funding from Active Devon to encourage young people to get out and active. Our Rooted group, which runs on a Sunday morning, will be visiting local parks on the first Sunday of each month and giving us their opinions on a number of areas: accessiblity, equipment, facilities, etc. We're going to be keeping this blog of their findings!

Routes to Grow
The Routes to Grow project addresses the issues of loneliness and isolation. Our site is open on a Tuesday and Friday from 10am unitl 3pm. Gardening, creative activities and sociaising with others. Free refreshments available all day.
Who: Suitable for anyone
When: Tuesday and Friday between 10am and 3pm. No need to book just drop in.

In Other Words groups
The In Other Words groups are mental health related supportive self-governing groups with fun activities and ongoing development opportunities. An opportunity to get together and socialise in an informal group with fun acitivites, arts, crafts, music, cooking, outdoor play and much more. The groups help build confidence, self-esteem and belief in a non-judgemental, confidential, safe and non-clinical environment.

Who: For children and young people aged 8 - 12years

A chance to share your experience of the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service in Plymouth and help shape the future of the Service in Plymouth with regular drop-ins from CAMHS staff.

Children's Minds - Families Matter
Children’s Minds ~ Families Matter is a free parent participation project focussed on children and young people’s mental health led by Routeways, supported by Plymouth Parent Carer Voice.
The group is attended by professionals to give advice and support to families. Routeways staff run fun activities for the young people in a separate space allowing parents/carers the opportunity to share their experiences and voice their concerns in a relaxed supportive environment.

Volunteers
If you are 18 or over you could be a volunteer. Coming from a wide range of backgrounds and abilities, our volunteers help with many jobs around the gardens and buildings. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided!
