Children and Young People

Supporting Children and young people to socialise, have fun, grow and learn new skills.

We offer a wide range of inclusive activity sessions for children and young people meeting a variety of needs and interests as our young people develop towards adulthood.

Radford Rascals

Radford Rascals offers after-school sessions for children with additional needs aged between five to eight years of age.

The project aims to encourage young people to develop their social skills and build positive relationships with peers and adults. Young people are supported to play with, and alongside similar peers in social and leisure activities.

The sessions run from the Beckley Centre on Tuesdays and Thursdays (term-time), 3:30pm-5:30pm. Referrals are needed from local authority as part of a funded support package.

Rooted

Rooted is an inclusive social and activity group for young people aged eight to sixteen with additional needs.

Young people have the opportunity to meet similar peers and develop new friendships outside of school. Rooted focuses on taking advantage of nature and encourages young people to find joy in being outside.

Rooted runs from our centre in Devonport Park on Sundays from 10am - 1pm and is £10 per session.
